The panel will address such questions as:
- How can employers achieve value in an era of escalating cost in cancer care?
- Can employers evaluate and provide access to high quality, safety and “best care” related to cancer treatments??
- What are leading employers doing to tackle cancer as a workplace issue??
NEBGH is a network of employers, providers, insurers and other organizations working together to improve the quality and reduce the cost of health care in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
“Statistics show that 32% of cancer cases do not meet evidence-based medicine. At a cost of $135,000 per cancer case, employers are seeking means to improve care and reduce costs. This is a great opportunity for us to bring stakeholders together and share information to help employers make informed decisions regarding cancer care for their employees,” said Dr. Forastiere.
